Portland's Horn of Africa eating experience began on March 5, 1994 at the Portland Saturday Market, introduced by Mohamed and Khadija Yousuf. After their immediate success at Saturday Market, they began to participate in festivals throughout the Northwest, all to great acclaim. In addition to these venues, they now have a restaurant, at 3939 NE MLK Jr. Blvd. The Horn of Africa continues to offer their customers high quality, healthy foods at affordable prices. Mohamed and Khadija's intention is to help foster diversity in the Portland community by offering these authentic African foods. They are committed to excellent customer service, and to serving the best food of its kind in town. Their menu features authentic dishes both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. All vegetarian dishes are vegan and many ingredients are organic. PS:
They have a new, special menu for parties of five or more, recommended
